Race weekend Report by F1 Academy:

Free Practice:

Alisha Palmowski had an ideal beginning to Round 5, topping the timesheets in Friday morning’s first Free Practice session at the Circuit Zandvoort.

One of the drivers who opted to leave it late to head out, the Red Bull Racing driver waited until track conditions had improved slightly to complete a 1:38.196. Her effort would remain unbeatable after a Red Flag appearance in the final eight minutes meant the session was not resumed.

Qualifying:

Seven drivers were in an exhilarating battle for pole amid changing track conditions, but it was Weug who overcame the challenge to set a time of 1:38.834s, just 0.039s of Red Bull Racing’s Palmowski. Ella Lloyd finished marginally further back in P3 to set the scene for a thrilling Race 2.

Race 1:

Alisha started P7 in the reverse grid race and was able to finish in P7 - it was a tough race but lots of good data was collected for Race 2 where she started on the front row in P2!

Race 2:

Alisha was able to convert a P2 start into a P2 podium finish in the final race of the weekend. She had strong race pace throughout and was able to make a good step forwards from Race 1 the previous day yesterday.
