2023 Alisha Joins Elite Motorsport

Thursday 26th January 2023

Alisha returns to the grid for 2023 with reigning Junior Team's Champions.

Former Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner Alisha Palmowski will contest the Junior Championship this year with Elite Motorsport, the Norfolk squad which won the Teams’ title for a third time last season.

The 16-year-old from Glossop in Derbyshire placed 13th in Juniors and the sixth best Rookie last year in her first full season of car racing. Alisha secured three Rookie class podium finishes becoming the first female driver to stand on a Ginetta Junior podium in seven years. Alisha claimed the 2018 BirelART Series UK Junior Rookie Champion kart title and finished second in the Daniel Ricciardo Series UK National Junior Championship in 2020 and ’21. Palmowski contested the 2021 Ginetta Junior Scholarship, finishing in the top-eight but claimed the prize the following year. She rounded out her racing year last November by impressively recording two poles and two podiums in the Ginetta Winter Series.

Alisha Palmowski, said: “My main goal this year is to be a competitive and consistent front runner challenging for the championship. I am very proud to be joining Elite and feel privileged to have the opportunity to race with the reigning Ginetta Junior Champions. I’m confident we can work together to have a successful 2023 season and am very excited to get testing underway.” “2022 was a big learning curve for me going from karts to cars. My greatest satisfaction was finishing the season on a high by becoming the vice champion of the Ginetta Junior Winter Series, achieving my first two pole positions and first two overall podiums!”

Eddie Ives, Team owner & Manager at Elite Motorsport, said: “We are very excited that Alisha is joining our 2023 Ginetta Junior Team. Ginetta has a good history at picking their scholarship winners and Alisha is no exception. We have started our winter testing programme and to date it’s been very promising. I’m very much looking forwards to seeing what we can accomplish together this season.”
