2022 Weekend 9 Brands Hatch

Monday 10th October


The final round of the 2022 Ginetta Junior Championship @ Brands Hatch Circuit completed this weekend!


Alisha started the Friday test day in the top two, showing similar pace to a previous test day around the Brands GP layout!


SATURDAY 8th OCTOBER:

Qualifying:

Race 1 = P13 (lap deleted & red flag on fastest laps so had to abord)

Race 2 = P11


Race 1: P11 - P8

The first race of the weekend was a difficult one with numerous incidents, safety cars and a red flag. Alisha did very well to avoid these incidents and move forward.


Race 2: P11 - DNF

After a strong start making up numerous places Alisha was passed into turn three forcing her off the track. She rejoined but was on the outside for turn three where she was slide swiped and pushed off into a gravel trap.


SUNDAY 9th OCTOBER:


Race 3: P22 - P18

Very tricky race three, Alisha initially made up around 7 places in the first few laps before being tagged causing her to spin in the process and drop to the back again and off the back of the field. Alisha drove very hard to catch the back of the pack and make up a few places before running out of time with the chequered flag.

Throughout the weekend Alisha showed very strong pace and resilience, but this round was unfortunately not to be.
