2022 Weekend 8 Silverstone

Monday 26th September


The penultimate round of the 2022 Ginetta Junior Championship @ Silverstone Race Circuit completed this weekend!


Alisha started the build up to the weekend with two strong days of testing, finishing in the top 4 during Friday practice!


SATURDAY 24th SEPTEMBER:

Qualifying: Race 1 = P11 Race 2 = P22 (after P7 lap deleted )


Race 1: P11 - P9 The first race of the weekend ended with a strong top 10 finish, despite the bonnet pins breaking after running over a high kerb, meaning Alisha had very limited vision under braking as the bonnet lifted..… a new experience to say the least!


Race 2: P22 - P13 Another strong race for Alisha as she came through from the back of the grid in 22nd up to 14th with some great battles. Further progress was hindered after she was then tagged under braking, causing her to spin and to drop back down to 18th before again working her way back up to 13th.


SUNDAY 25th SEPTEMBER:

Race 3: P13 - P9 ontrack (13th after 5 second penalty ) Tricky race three, initially made some good progress but then got caught in the middle of a long train of cars hindering any further progress and chance of a result reflective of her true speed!

Throughout the weekend Alisha showed very strong pace and had some great battles over the races, making in excess of 20 great overtakes throughout! Looking forward to finishing the season on a high at Brands Hatch GP in two weeks time!
