We are extremely proud to announce that Alisha will be joining the Preptech UK racing team for her debut car-racing campaign in 2022.

Alisha first met the Preptech UK owner and team principle, Oliver Barnard, during the 2021 Ginetta Junior Scholarship and kept in touch. She later had a test day with the team leading up to the 2022 Ginetta Junior Scholarship and immediately felt comfortable working with the team.

Whilst being interviewed for the official Ginetta press release (see here) Alisha said;

“I feel really privileged to be in the position of being the 2022 Ginetta Junior Scholar and equally to be able to choose a team to work with. After reviewing the options with my parents, we are delighted to be selecting Preptech UK as the team I will join for 2022.

I originally met Oliver [Barnard] from Preptech during the 2021 Scholarship and we kept in touch. I later had a test day with them in the week leading up to this year’s scholarship and the environment they provided was perfect for me. They were able to quickly help me build confidence, so that I was able to get the best out of both myself and the car with limited previous running. This I felt gave a good insight into how the team works.

I am now raring to go for next year. We are in the process of establishing a testing plan with the team so we can start the 2022 season as competitively as possible.”

Preptech UK was founded in 2006 by race engineer & mechanic Oliver Barnard and has gone from strength to strength. The team has a history of race and championship wins, built from the ground up by championship and multiple race winner Oliver Barnard. Preptech UK is the perfect place for novices to learn the ropes and seasoned racing professionals to hone their skills.

2011 saw Preptech UK’s owner, Oliver Barnard, win the MGCC MG Trophy Drivers Championship in his first full season in the series. They have supported numerous drivers over 10 years in the MG Trophy, with consistent success throughout every class with multiple race wins, podiums, championships and lap records. Their expertise in engineering has helped the team and customers to compete both nationally and internationally in a variety of championships, including the Ginetta Junior Championship, FIA Creventic 24H series, Spa C1 24 hour, C1 Racing Club, Puma Cup, Ford Fiesta ST Championship, MG Trophy, Clio 182 Championship, Castle Combe Saloon Championship, 750 MC Club Enduro and many more.

Alisha looks forward to working with Oliver and the Preptech Team as she prepares to begin her pre-season testing ahead of the 2022 season commencing.
